A Follow Up

Today the weather broke and I went out and cleaned the stalls good in preperation for what is going to be a soggy mess in the next week. It took me awhile because I had slacked off for three days. The weather turned pretty cold and I didn't do much besides throw feed at my equine friends.

As I was cleaning I was reminded of a Friends episode where Phoebe told Ross and his ex-wife's lesbion life-partner how lucky the new baby was going to be. Not only would he have a mom and a dad, but also a lesbian life-partner to love on him.

And so it is true of my chickens. They will just get more lovin than most chickens! Lucky ducks!

It's always good to find a positive from a negative situation don't you think? My mom and I have a good memory of enjoying the pine smell after a severe down-wind tore apart our vacation property. Devestation lay everywhere, we were seriously shook up by what we saw. But, as the next day dawned I stepped out on the porch and remarked on how lovely it smelled from the downed trees releasing sap.
