Time for a Change

Today I begin my earnest search for studio space. I have had my old drafting table set up and all my supplies bought for over a year. What I have found is that I will not work on art work if I am at home. There are too many distractions such a books, the internet, horses that need petting, the tv, laundry, dishes, etc.

I had recently applied for a part time position at a local school to serve lunch. I have not heard yet if I got the position, but was already thinking of applying to another position if I didn't. I was discussing my work situation with my best bud when she said "have you thought about renting studio space?" Well, duh~!

Below is the latest work I started well over two weeks ago. My camera really doesn't do it justice, taking pictures of art work is a skill I have yet to acquire. It was a piece I was doing for fun. I was enjoying it and happy with the progress, but have not made myself sit down to work on it.

So, today I am off to find a studio!~ Hopefully something close by, with lots of good north light. Wish me luck!
