Comments

These two comments came from the ten year old:

While speaking to her friends: "You know, it's funny, but when you turn six, it's like everyone then thinks your old. When you're five you're still little, but not when you're six."

And while she was writing a four paragraph homework assignment about an adventure she took with Vasco Da Gamo: "I think I'm going to have it start in 1987 - oh wait. Mom? Were compasses invented in the 80's?"

Wow...I feel old! You should show her a few (parent-approved) scenes from *The Wedding Singer*. Now THAT was the eighties! ;^)

On another note: I saw your carpooling comment on Lucinda's site and thought I'd offer a suggestion. Maybe you should take up the carpooling issue with the other girl's parents instead of the girl herself. It's probably not her fault that she's left to fend for herself every day. And what kind of message is that girl getting when her folks don't show up to take her home? Abandonment and everything that goes with it, that's what. *sigh* Sad.
