Behind again

Sigh. I am having a hard time keeping up on my blog again. August is crazy with both girls in different events, school shopping, visiting, horse shows, tennis matches and on and on.

Last weekend S did a FANTATIC job with our dog Mickey at the 4-H State Dog show. She took top in her grade placing 198.5 out of 200 just beating out one of her best friends by half a point. Then we found out she tied in her division with another girl for top score so she had to go back in the ring and compete again. At the end she was awarded top dog in her division. It was a great accomplishment and she has worked hard most of the summer, so as you can imagine Jack and I are very proud of both the girl and the dog.

Sunday we went to another horse show. The highlight of that show was the COIN FLIP they did to determine a placing between N and her good friend A. A COIN FLIP at a horse speed horse show!? Come to find out the girls decided to flip instead of re-running their horses, and it was for second or third place. Both girls are still in training stage with their horses and both were pleased with the run they had and didn't want to re-run.

I was able to run up to my parents this week and let the girls visit the grandparents before school starts again on Tuesday. It was a nice visit, very relaxing. I always enjoy the time we spend with them, they have a beautiful place. Of couse I would say so, it's where I grew up.

This weekend is busy as well for us. Homecoming dress shopping, horse shows and getting ready for school. On top of that 4-H Record Books are due this weekend so we will be busy for sure.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.
