It came in the mail

Okay all you Packer fans out there, this hat came in the mail two days ago, a belated Christmas gift to Jack from my mom. Doesn't he model it well? He likes to wear it sideways, says it fits his head better that way, and he fingers the sides muttering about how the players have their numbers embroidered there.

I called Green Bay last week, and they said they still had room on their Band Wagon for me. So, I've hopped on and hope to hang on through the Super Bowl. I hope they don't want me to play an instrument, maybe the gazoo?

For all of my horse friends, check out this picture. My mom sent it through an email. Here's the story that came with it:

This guy raised an abandoned moose calf with his horses, and believe it or not, he has trained it for lumber removal and other hauling tasks. Given the 2,000 pounds of robust muscle, and the splayed, grippy hooves, he claims it is the best work animal he has. He says the secret to keeping the moose around is a sweet salt lick, although during the rut he disappears for a couple of weeks, but always comes home.

Ya just can't photo shop something like this!

I went to a graduate program in Vermont and ALWAYS wanted to see a moose. I never did and still want to.

This is SO cool! Would love to see him in action.

Hi Kathy

I have enjoyed playing catchup on your blog, sorry you have had all the aggravation, cows loose, losing the chickens but I love the Moose story, looks almost unbelievable looking at the picture LOL. Osa is so funny, what a typical cat!!!

We are Colts fans being from Indiana and are watching the game right now, congrats to the Packers on their win yesterday.

My sympathies on the weather too we are having similar ups and downs and mud here.

It is so big! I'd be terrified of him. Great hat, I don't mind them winning but I think it would be cool to see the Pats go all the way and break the Dolphins record.

That is so cool. We run into lots of moose when we ride on the trails and mountains right by our house. Our horses are terrified of them, and we always dread running into one.

Once we were on a skinny little road and saw three moose just down the road. It was fall and they were in the middle of a moose fight.

The horses sure didn't like having to walk past that!

It's a fun story, but it's a PhotoShop creation - http://www.explorenorth.com/wordpress/?p=157
