Here's is a few shots of S on Dixie from the weekend. I think the biggest improvement I saw with S was that she stopped watching her horse and started watching where she was going. In both these pictures she is looking towards the second barrel. In the first shot S is at the end of her rein and Dixie is not shaped nice. In the second she has more of a "handle" on the horse and she looks more rounded.

And in the first picture, she is pulling the rein to guide the horse around the barrel, which causes the horse to drop its shoulder making it less able to be efficient in its movement.
She's coming along! That is great.
What a cool thing to be able to do.
Thanks for the commentary. I don't know anything about barrel racing and this is interesting. It looks like such fun.
And you much be fast on the camera "trigger" to capture this motion!
These are great photos and interesting commentary. I've seen barrel racing from a distance, but it's interesting to read the details explained.
