N is taking photos to the state 4H horse expo this weekend. She is allowed one still life shot and one action shot.
She is considering taking this photo for her action shot. She is concerned that this photo will be down graded because the barrel is out of focus. She was trying to pan with the horse and rider so therefore the rider and head's upper body is in focus and the rest is not. What do you think??

I, personally, adore the picture....it reminds me of an ad for Ariat boots a few years ago...I love the speed of it. I personally would try to photoshop the barrel out because it is so distracting being so far into the foreground...just my two cents.

As I was looking at the 8x10 we got printed off I was thinking the exact same thing Beth. Photoshop it out. There is nothing against that in the rules.
