In just over a week we will be heading off to the county fair. It will be a lot of exhausting fun with many highs and lows.

It starts Sunday evening with the girls exhibiting Mickey in the dog show. S will take him in obedience, N will take him in showmanship.

Tuesday will have the entire club (13 families) up helping to assist putting our fair booth together. N is in charge of the fair booth this year.

Wednesday is non-animal judging. The girls will have photographs and cooking to take up and hopefully a few posters.

Thursday is animal arrival. We will haul the animals and weigh in the steers.

Friday AM is the beef show followed by the meat animal auction in the evening. Both N and S will be selling their steers.

Saturday AM will be the horse show. Both Dixie and Catfish will be going to the fair! Saturday evening is the Parade of Champions and costume contest for the horses and our shift in the 4H Food stand.

Sunday is pack up and go home!

Just to make it more exciting N is out of town this week and S stubbed her pinky toe. S can barely get around. Who knows if she will even get a boot on next week. The man has his typical July poison ivy too!

This week? This week is prep, prep, prep, doctor appt, prep, prep prep. Decorations, posters, washing cattle and taking photos.

Fun Fun Fun!

Fair time was always fun time! Good luck to the girls. I know how much work goes into that whole week--I can still picture my mom frantically getting the ponies ready while we were up showing guinea pigs...yes guinea pigs! Have fun.
