The fair officially started this afternoon with the Cat Show, but for our family it started two hours later with the Dog show.
S took first place in her division in obedience and received a qualifying score so she will move up to the next division next year. She had second best qualifying score so technically took second place in the top dog competition, but there was no ribbon for that.
N took first in her age division for showmanship.
S took first place in the costume contest as Elizabeth and "Mick" Sparrow from Pirates.
Mick was really a dream today, very patient with the bath, trimming of nails, blow drying and the likes. So good we bought him his own small fry on the way home from the fair and he is allowed to roll in manure or run in the swamp all he wants tonight!

Great costumes! I can see why you won first place.
Sounds like the girls and the dogs did great! But YUK about the rolling in manure or the swamp! Geez, when I've spent that much time getting a horse all cleaned up to show, makes me crazy when the first thing they do is roll in something disgusting!
BTW, I think these raspberries on both sides here look good enough to eat! I love raspberries. Nummmm
