Rowan having a good old buck

The weather of the last week has really got my horses juiced up. Between the inactivity the 20" of snow forced upon them to the 30 degree weather after weeks of subzero temps Gunner and Catfish in particular are a bit high strung these days. Even Classy with her arthritis has shown some uncharacteristic spunk.
I was yearning for my camera when I saw out my window Gun running across the field snow flying left and right. Routine is EVERYTHING with that horse. The lack of exercise and my inability to follow the feeding regime to a T allowed me a rare glimpse of a 10' high buck, from the back end no less!
As I'm watching his athleticism display itself instead of being fearful I again long for my camera to catch the colors and drama the buck imprinted on my brain.

Wow, that's a serious buck. Moon has been couped up more than usual lately and is doing the same thing. I hope I can keep up with him!
I love that you caught the buck on camera. That is so neat.
Ours were doing the back kicks playfully with each other this week as the temps go above 50. They seemed to feel good and be happy to be out!
