Today is S's 11th birthday. The tiny bundle that arrived at 5:15pm on December 13th of 1995 has brought me such joy over the years. She has allowed my parenting skills to grow exponentially as she has helped me learn to balance discipline with free flowing joy.
She has great love in her heart for her dear horse Kelzon. As he has been losing his teeth and getting older she has been saving them to keep as momemtums. Very strange, I agree, that is our S. "I just need something to remember him by."
On our trip this fall to Niagra Falls I turned to look at her and this is what I saw.
She's a straight shooter our S - she tells it like it is. Sometimes she's a little too straight and comes out with statements that sting a little. We usually get about one call or letter a year from the teachers asking that she apologize for some unwitting comment.
She also makes friends in an instant. She's the one that will be the first to make friends in a group. All the kids in the school know her ranging from 6th through Kinder.
Happy Birthday Dear One!!
