For hours last night we looked for Osa. Osa is our 7-week-old kitten I have been bottle (well - eye drop) feeding since day two. Charlie, his brother had no clue where he could be. I finally gave up and went to bed. This morning he showed up like nothing was wrong. All cat sultry walking. How do they do that walk? Even at 7 weeks he does an "I'm cool, look at me!" kind of swagger. Of course that only happens when he's not busy attacking his brother, climbing my leg or biting a socked toe. As a child I LOVED cats. They were my second choice after realizing I would never get a horse. So, this love affair has picked up again. It's too cold to turn them loose at the farm, so they have become part of the family.Today I went to town to help match up band uniforms for the 8th grade band. Lots of sorting followed by trying on. It was amusing to watch 20 some 8th grade girls in a room asking, "does this fit right?" When the trying on was done, we moved on to zipper fixing and size exchanging. The best part? My birthday lunch at the local Chinese place with Wendy. Actually the best part was secretly watching my daughter and realizing - she's fine. =)
