Yesterday our local high school competed in the state marching band competition at UW - Whitewater. This is their second year of competing and they are still a bit behind the bands in the first half of their division, but each year there is marked improvement.
I was happy to drive our big F-350 and enclosed trailer to this competition stocked full of drum and pit equipment. I found this much more relaxing that riding on a bus chaperoning teenagers. Everyone has their own level of stress and driving a truck and trailer down the highway and weaving between semi's is much less stress full to me than yelling at teenage boys who are hanging out of bus windows shouting their phone numbers to passing teenage girls. Who would of thunk?
N is contemplating throwing her hat in the ring for drum major next year. They need a couple of strong leaders, and I think she would be up for the task, it's just whether she can find the time for another commitment.
Hope your weekend was nice and relaxing. I have developed a cold which I blame on my kids. The 90 some kids I work with at the local elementary school where I work as an aide, not the two girls sitting in the other room playing guitar hero instead of doing homework.

Oh... So fun!
Our drum majors LOVED that aspect of things. I bet she'd be awesome with it. She should DO it.
