Black Walnut - S; 08
Didn't mean to sound so depressed in the last post. Sometimes it just catches up with me.
N had an awesome tennis match last night. Like the match last week, which lasted 3 hours this one was a long one, over 2-1/2 hours long. She exhausts me. She and her partner really dug deep last night and still ended up losing, but it was fun to watch.
This morning I took Emmett out for a little ground work. He livened up because he was away from his pack, which was nice to see. He actually caught on fairly quickly moving forward. He even was able to watch my body motion and jog off with me fairly consistently and whoa nicely. We are now working on backing which he is not too happy about. He doesn't do any type of aggressive moves towards me, just holds his head high and braces. When he does finally move back three steps and I praise him he lowers his head and licks. So I think he is really trying to understand what I am teaching him. Good signs, keep your fingers crossed.
Tomorrow is another late night. Both girls has games, luckily the facilities where they are playing are right next to each other. I also have a 4-H leaders meeting, so I will miss S's volleyball game. Late nights are what September is all about!
