Fair

A on Dixie, N on Gunner

This last Saturday N and her friend A competed at the local fair. It's their first time competing with friends they go to school with...so it was fun and different.

They entered the Ribbon Race and freaked Gunner out which lead to some bucking.

N on Gunner Aon Dixie practicing Ribbon without the ribbon (check out those AQHA buts!)

Otherwise it was just another fun summer show with friends. N still has a ways to go with Gunner but the trust is growing between them and it won't be long and they will have created a good team. A lot of the issues now are nerves on N's part. So, seat time needs to be more in an arena than in our back fields. Darn gas prices! Closest horse show I can find this weekend, besides the big NBHA finals in Madison which we didn't even try to qualify for, is at least two hours away.

Easy for me to say but....um....you need to be closer to the barrel!

Nice photos of the girls and the horses! I hear ya on the gas prices! I think a lot of people are foregoing shows this year because of the price of gas!
