On Monday I took Emmett down to the UW Vet school and am pleased to say he got a clean bill of health.
He will always have a bit higher of a heal, but as they said "it's just the way his conformation is." He is shoeless, weaned, and free to wander the pasture with Lloyd. I need to keep him on a limited diet to control his growth and prevent him from going back up on his hoof. So you are free to uncross your fingers and toes.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your advice, and well wishes. I guess a simple Thank You will have to suffice.
Wouldn't a picture be nice? Yes, you say it would! Unfortunately this is fair week for us, so my camera is...well goodnes who knows where it is...hopefully packed in one of the vehicles. I'll have lots of fun pictures and stories to share next week. Promise!

Yippee, that is such good news! I imagine it has been stressful while you were waiting to see what happens.
