The Call

I put a call into the UW Vet school and have an appointment for Thursday.

Unfortanetly this evening Emmett is pretty sore for the first time since he was born. He is moving around but with out the vim and vigger he has always had and with a definate limp. I will call the vet school in the morning to get their advice.

They asked me which vet to send the paperwork to, and I hesitated. I finally gave them the name of the original vet. The vet who I have still not heard back from.

I haven't a clue what I will do if all this waiting has worsened his condition, which it seems now it has. Grrrr!!

Argh, Kathy, I feel for you! This is such a tough situation, and I am sure it is so hard for you to see the little guy starting to limp. Hang in there until your vet apt. on Thursday. You definitely have nothing to feel guilty for, driving further to get certain vitamins would not have changed Emmet's fate. When I was around 9 years old, over 28 years ago, someone gave us a 7 month old QH filly just so I could brush her and hand walk her every day. I remembered she had contracted tendons, I guess the walking was supposed to help stretch them out, or something. We kept her for a few months then gave her back. I am sure they have made a lot of progress in dealing with these tendons since then.
Keep us posted. We're thinking about you!
