Spring arrives

Thank goodness.

Acutally it doesn't arrive until the day N goes for her driving permits, but it felt like it was truly here yesterday.

For yesterday was the day we finally moved into Tammy's to begin spring conditioning. I told the girls we needed to start off slow. This morning I read the conditioning portion of Ed and Martha Wrights book Barrel Racing Training the Wriht Way. It gave me some great ideas to get us all going.

N and S both have Quarter horses so they will be working on lots of long trotting and some slope loping to condition. I will be riding Catfish this year, and he just needs to get legged up to endure my demands, which are not so strenuous as barrel racing.

It doesn't look like spring here today but I'm sure it's coming. I can hardly wait.

I'm glad you're getting started on conditioning. That's a sure sign the better weather must be coming soon. lol

Oh, I know spring is coming soon!
Harley made his way to bootcamp this weekend also. I am hitting the gym hard so I will be in shape when it is my turn in two weeks to start riding.
