Seven Things Meme

Photo: Chloe our Female Muscovey Duck

I've been tagged from three different spots to do the 7 things meme, and as this meme seems to be surrounding me by all sides I'd best get it cleaned up.

The wonderful blogs that have tagged me:

Midwest Horse - This is a blog that is written by three different people. A couple of ladies who own horses and breed horses and one of their husbands as well. They live south and east of me in this great state of Wisconsin. I love their blog because it is regional, and they deal with the same weather and other local issues that I do.

All Things Horses - Trail Riding Cowgirl is someone I aspire to be. She will load up her horse, drive for hours and meet up with other friends to trail ride for a weekend. That sounds just about like heaven to me.

Mikael's Mania - Now, if you haven't visited Mikael's blog you are really behind in the horse blog world. She writes the most suspenseful stories about breeding and raising Arabian horses. She is my first stop each morning (after the local online newspaper) as I make my rounds in the blogsphere.

Seven things you might not know about me.
  1. I was born at home in my parents bed. My dad delivered me. He called a neighboring nurse, but she got there too late. We lived in town, I just came too quickly.

  2. I scare people. Especially at meetings. I am unapproachable, and not afraid to speak my mind on a topic.

  3. I make my bed every day. Every. Day. It drives me nuts to get into a bed that has wrinkled sheets.

  4. I love the smell of a pine forest. To walk in a swamp that is littered with pine needles or to sit at the edge of a lake that has tall pines surrounding it is where I go mentally to relax. But those fake pine car fresheners, or pine scented candles make me sneeze. I need the real thing!

  5. I love tea. I drink it every morning ritually. I love Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice tea. Their Raspberry tea isn't bad either for an herbal.

  6. When I was young I taught myself to play piano by ear. I brought home church missilettes and would play the songs over and over until it sounded right. That must be why I sought piano lessons for my girls.

  7. I am a worrier. You probably have picked up on that if you have read my blog for long. I need things to keep me busy or my mind wanders and then I start worrying needlessly. Instead I need to go to my serenity place huh?

Okay - well those were some remarkably boring facts, but you tagged me so there ya go. I encourage others to pick up on the 7 things about me meme, but I'm not tagging anyone because everyone I know has already been tagged!

I do opinionated pretty darn well myself. Just ask the people around me. LOl

I don't know if you saw my reply to your comment about Rachel so I thought I'd mention if you have ideas I'd love to hear what they are. If you need my email addy, you can get it through my farm website. I hate to post it here or on my blog because of those darn spiders that go around harvesting for spammers. The webmaster has some kine of set-up that prevents that. LOL

I am always amazed by people who are "naturals" when it comes to playing an instrument...I had piano lessons. My grandma had to bribe me with money to practice. Wanted to be outside exploring or on my ponies.
