Neurotic Dog

I don't know exactly WHAT was up with Mick last night, but whatever it was he needed to share it.

Dog enters bedroom room whining and wagging tail.
Woman drags self out of bed.
Woman trips over last boxes of holiday decorations to be put out.
Woman curses.
Man inquires about Woman's well-being.
Woman grumbles response.
Woman makes way in dark to back door to let dog out.
Dog follows but waits in kitchen.
Woman fills water dish.
Dog drinks water.
Woman makes way back to bed carefully avoiding box.
Dog follows woman.
Dog whines.
Woman pats bed indicating the dog is allowed on bed.
Man and Woman make room for dog on bed (72lbs).
Dog (72lbs) jumps on bed, turns three times and curls up in ball.
Half an hour goes by.
Dog gets off bed.
Half an hour goes by.
Dog comes into bedroom and goes to Man's side of bed.
Dog whines and wags tail, causing curtains to rustle.
Couple chuckle.
Man drags self out of bed.
Man makes way in dark to back door to let dog out.
Dog follows but stays in kitchen.
Man returns to bed.
Dog follows man.
Dog whines.
Man pats bed indicating the dog is allowed on bed.
Woman and Man make room for dog on bed (72lbs).
Dog (72lbs) jumps on bed, turns three times and curls up in ball.
Half an hour goes by.
Dog gets off bed.
Half an hour goes by.
Dog returns to Woman's side of bed.

etc.

Etc.

ETC!

It got to the point where I actually sat up and talked to him, rubbed him down good and tried to soothe him. I am at a loss to what was bothering him. Mick is without a doubt the greatest dog we have ever owned, but as he has grown older he has these little neurotic episodes that drive me nuts.

Just so you know, he's right now asleep on our bed, and I am sitting her wasting time that should rightfully be spent on my winter painting. Maybe I will go poke him.

Totally poke him. Or rather. I hope you are sleeping. As it is 2:40 AM. :)

I hate nights like that. Lulu does things like that too. The only bonus is that she doesn't weigh 72 pounds...only 12!

Oh, don't poke him. Poor Mick. He just can't tell you what he needs. It's not his fault he can't talk. lol

Glad it's you and not me! lol
