I was going to cut back on my computer time, but now I find I have things to post about.
Thank you for everyone's comments on the pictures. I let N pick out which ones she liked best. I suggested she sharpen the eye, she did and it looks much better. N decided on the barrel racer with the funky pad coming around the third barrel for action and the eye for non-action. She didn't have time to shoot more non-action shots.
I went to Walmart to get the mat board to save myself an hours drive. The quality of the mats was really poor. I bought two black and two white, and N decided they both needed black mats. Only one of the black mats was usable, the other was defective. Even the one we used was a bit off, and I personally wouldn't have chosen it, but it was her decision.
The photos are off to the Expo today. We will go down on Friday after school to see the exhibits, some of the show and for awards.
Can I just say...how do teenagers who participate in sports get any homework done? Last night N had a tennis match. She got home at 7:45. We worked on the matting until 8:45 at which time she went upstairs to do homework. She finished at midnight. Bleh. Thank goodness tennis is a short season here. She'll be done the first week of October.
Tonight it's tennis practice, I then pick her up and haul her to the trainers so she can get her weekly lesson in. To top it off she's turning 15 in a few days. Which means next year she could get a job. When she would squeeze that in I don't know. Her counselor suggested if she was interested in AP (college level) courses she should not get a job....sigh...Not that she NEEDS a job, I think she just wants one for the money to buy clothes.

I love the photo of the horses eye. You can take them and take them and still come out with something extraordinarily beautiful when it comes to horses. Though yours always seem to come out better than mine! Glad to see you are back at it!
AND if she has a brain in her head, she'll be bored to death if she DOESN'T take the ap classes, Kathy. Just from one mom to another. AP classes were the only ones that held Kel's interest in school. And while somewhat more grueling in terms of homework, no more so than other classes really.
I think that was a good choice on the action shot.
As for high school kids and jobs, I remember those days. I don't know how they fit it all in. The jobs were never considerate of the kids having school or homework. Our state finally passed laws restricting how many hours the kids could work. But some employers don't abide by them.
I wonder how kids who do sports get their homework done, too. When I take S. riding we don't get back until 8:00.
Ap classes. I remember AP history. There was a huge book with tiny print. Lots of ominous statements about how hard university would be...and then I got to university and neverd saw a book nearly as horrible as that one, and all of the classes were interesting...luckily I went off to live with my parents in Europe my senior year.
