I intended to feed the horses quickly and get on with cleaning the house before getting ready for work.
Intended.
The Man said we had a new calf. After peaking at it I told him: "I'm going to get my camera!" "Can't you take some of better calves, that ones not the best" says he. My reply? "But the suns out! The others had theirs inside in the barn!"
Bertha and Calf:
Can't you feel the love?
Here's one of Bertha's eyes - cause why should it only be horses that we try to shoot artistically. That's what it boils down to, what I need to explain to The Man. I'm not trying to show off the quality of his animals, I'm trying to capture an image.
This one I like because it shows what a good mother she is as she is carefully watching me. It also shows the calfs expression of wonderment. There I go again putting human feelings behind animals expressions.

Very nice! Much better than cleaning the house. How many calves do you expect to have this year?
I love, love, love those little calf shots! Excellent work there!
