Gearing up...

Here's an awesome photo a friend took at this last weekend's show. N placed first in poles and 3rd in barrels. She had a couple of spectacular runs. She got tossed up and on to the saddle horn seconds after this photo was taken, as she was coming around the barrel and Classy was digging out. She's a bit bruised, but ready for more fun this weekend.

I love this photo of S and Kelzon. They really look happy together. She out performed herself this weekend taking firsts in plug, poles and tire race. She took a second in barrels and a fifth in jumping figure eight. She really stepped up her riding and became a rider again, and not just a passenger.

The weekend saw the loss of my cousin's only daughter, who was 19 years old, in a car accident. The last few days have been emotional to say the least.

This next weekend is the big state show, so I will be prepping for that in the next few days, so we are all set to go when Saturday rolls around. N has become VERY busy with tennis, flute, piano, high school and riding. Sadly, riding has to come in that order, so I am also exercising her horse. Don't worry, I'm JUST taking her on trail rides, and doing my best NOT to RUIN her!

Results from the big weekend will be posted next week. My hope is to survive the weekend with no tears!
