In our next half hour...

Dear Robin Roberts,

When you announce at 7:15 that a segment will be coming up in "our next half hour" that means the 7:30 to 8:00 half hour. Even if you emphasize the word NEXT, that really only puts you half of an hour, 30 minutes, ahead of when you are speaking.

*sigh* Now I'm off by half an hour because I HAD to wait until the 8:00-8:30 half hour to watch the segment on remarkable weight loss. Do you know what was remarkable about the weight loss segment? Nothing. Except perhaps the sheer volume of weight loss. The theme - Just Do It. Nike - you had something with that one, why did you abandon it?

Mammogram update:
It still hurts, although this time the woman who did the x-rays didn't squish me so hard. She was also a mother of a 13 year old girl, so we had stories to share. The mammogram I had done last November involved squishing every bit of flesh from my collar bone to the bottom of my ribs in between the plates.

Great news, I can now wait another year before my next mammogram. The calcifications have not changed since my first mammogram two years ago. (huge relief) There is really nothing quite as scary as having your first mammogram done at 40 and being told there is something abnormal on the x-ray.

Horse News:
A friend of The Man has two trail horses in Indiana that he is offering to us if we want to go and get them. No cost to us, well except the gas to get to Indiana, which quite likely will be more than the value of the horses. I'm waiting to talk to him to find out more information. He also has a baby grand he told us we could store, but then, where would we sleep? Maybe it's time for that addition??

Two free horses and a baby grand. Wheee~~

Great news on the mammogram, Kathy! I'm glad you braved the elements to go get it done.

Two free horses and a baby grand - wow! You know I'm not a horse person, but I lust after a baby grand.

I hate mammograms. Had an abnormal one a few years ago and know how scary that is. But everything turned out OK. Glad you had goodd news too.

We have an old 1950ish Wurlitzer piano! Having a baby grand would be heaven.

I'm so happy to have discovered your site. It's nice to find another horse blogger!
