Keo

When we got to Ohio we had Nicole go into Keo's stall with her. She (Keo) at that point was done with the rest of us. It was all about Nicole. They seemed to bond right away.

She had a bruise on her heal, but otherwise responded well to Nicole. She said she felt a lot like Rocky, a horse Nicole has rode in the past. Our trainer Tammy saw the resemblence also in how she moves.

Since being here we had her hooves trimmed, and she is doing wonderful. So wonderful in fact that I will have to watch her or she will balloon up as the spring grass comes in. She is definately an easy keeper. In other words she gets heavy easy.

She is stand-offish and is low horse on the totem pole, but if you can get to her, she loves to be scratched. Meaning, as soon as I try to pet her, the other horses come over and vie for my attention, causing her to leave.

I'm looking forward to see what she will look like when she sheds out. This picture is from September...so she should be pretty close to the picture. Right now she is more white than anything (and mud of course).
