As Christmas is nearing, I am ready. It's strange, but I seem to have all but just minor wrapping left to do.
Yesterday afternoon was spent wrapping gifts, while Jack took the girls shopping. When they got home I challenged them to a Sponge Bob video game. After awhile we switched to Rocket Power boarding. Then I noticed that one by one they left me, until I was playing Rocket Power by myself, all three players. What's with that. With a sigh I put it aside. It seems Nicole had studying to do and Shyla was more interested in Zoo Tycoon. Jack of course was working in his office.
I decided not to make my own Christmas card this year. I bought some instead. It has made this holiday season stress free!!! Yeah!! I even sat down and started working on some art projects yesteday. Pictures to come soon.
I'm working on a relief carving my mom did. She did two carvings of horses for my daughters. My job is to finish them. I decided to try color pencil with one and it is turning into a fine mess. From a distance it looks good, but not up close. I'm picky like that. It's my hope that I don't put it away in frustration never to let it see the light of day again. I am, in fact, my worse critic. Or at least so far, as I am not brave enough to share my work! Ha Ha
